DishPVR 721 for sale

It's on Ebay and ends today but I'm not sure it will sell. I've been denying all requests for s and r numbers as I assume they will use them to hack? Am I correct to make that assumption? Anyway, if it doesn't sell it will be up for grabs here. $180.

You can fairly safely give them to people so that they can check your account status. To be honest, most people will NOT buy a unit on EBay when the owner refuses to give the numbers for -- because it looks like a sign that you are hiding something, unfortunately.

It really shouldn't be a problem to give them the numbers as long as you have properly canceled service for the unit.

How would you check the balance? Call dish?

Correct -- you can call Dish with the R00 and S00 numbers and asked them to confirm that the unit has been properly removed from the account and has no balance owed. You just tell them that you are looking to buy the unit used and want to check on it first. They do it all the time.

You can email the CEO address too for that, I believe -- but that seems overkill to me as far as time wasting goes. Just call them up...
