No spotbeams on a 508

Troubleshooting a relatives system

1 - 508 and 2 - 301s

The 301's work fine on any of the sw34 outputs

Problem is the 508 (been working for years) started to not receive the 110 spotbeams for the locals. The 301 are working fine off the same lead from the dish when moved. The 508 doesnt work on any of the leads...

The 508 passes the switch test. Signal strength is 125 and says locked on 110....

Any ideas other than a dead 508?

yes, several....

Also unplugged the unit and moved it to another room/tv and same issue. The unit from that room works fine on the 508 cable!

I DO know that a 508 will work great on a sat connection that will NOT run a 721...

wonder if its true of a 508?
