So did anyone watch? I did but I kept getting distracted and using the DVR to pause it. So that made it a little disjointed for me, so i'll probably have to watch next weeks and pay a little closer attention before I can make a fair judgement.

I was very impressed. It is visually astounding w/ great sets/locales and the wardrobes are perfect. It also has an excellent cast and tells a great story. TV Guide says it ran $30 million to make & I can believe it. This will be one to buy when it comes out on DVD.

Picture quality was nice, I didn't really like the storyline.
Had problems with the signal from WCVB in Boston at the beginning.
Pretty good from the looks of it. I'm certainly interested enough in it to keep watching.
It took a little bit for me to get into the show but I really liked it. The sets looked really nice.
Is this a 5 part movie or a series? In the guide it said "Pilot Part 1 of 5"

.....for now. Just like anything else if it gets good ratings they'll make more.

Purists are complaining that it is not historically accurate. So what...it isn't a documentary.

If you want historically accurate, watch the History channel. Empire is a show based on historical events but made for entertainment purposes, not for educational.
