Wireless w/ibook...

a 2002 model,OS X,Safari w/built in airport card,I show a 96% signal strength,dont need password,but cant find a simple program to get me on.Any ideas ?

When you click on the wireless icon in the upper right corner is your wireless network showing up and is it selected?

If not, select it by going to network preferences. flip it to show airport, it should see the wireless network, select, by default, join a specific network, and then make sure that network is selected. it should then always hook up to that network each time.
