Has anyone else noticed that L216 generates a brighter picture on the component outputs? It might just be my TV. I'm not sure if I can classify it as either bad or good, just an apparent difference.

No discernable difference here.
No notable difference here, either.

I have a 921 and a 6000, and the 6000 is MUCH brighter for some reason (both component). I didn't see a change in the 921 after L216 (except no locals, of course!).

Sorry Jason, mine has gone completely dark! So dark that I could swear there is no picture - service call set for Saturday - believe or not but my 12 month 921 warrantee expires on Friday - called Dish and they agreed to replace it if the service call shows its dead.
It was working Ok up to the very instant of the 216 download.
