When I change channel up once i get to the end of the locals is starts over at 2   . Example If i go up to channel 13-1 (my last LA local since 28-1 PBS shows up when i add DTV but not in the guide) when I push channel up the next channel is channel 2 it skips every other sat channel and stays stuck in the locals. Is this happeneing to anyone else?? L216 screwed me, I hope they fix this it sucks.

Also like I said above, I can't add 28-1 PBSHD to show up in the guide or when i enter the channel number its simply not there. I tried deleting it and adding it again. it shows in the local channels menu, the strength for it is over 100. I select ADD and save, then when i go to the guide it does not show up :nono2: .

I have had a similar problem where it would be stuck in a loop going up from 04-1 to 04-2 to 05-1 to 07-1 and then back to 04-1 instead of going up to 09-1, etc. This did go away but comes back randomly. I thought it was related to the signal strength of the next channel up being to low but haven't been able to prove that.
I'm thinking that maybe it is time to change the batteries in my remote again.

No this is not 216 but an earlier bug. Reboot should fix it.

Yes this sounds like the 216 bug. It shows up in menu 6-8 listing but won't show up in the actual guide so you can't access it. If you don't subscribe to locals it might be fixed by having dish enable locals for a month. If this channel is outside of your DMA however you might have to wait for the next release. See Mark's sticky thread on "Missing OTA temporary fix".

I do subscribe to locals and it was fine until 216 removed 28-1 PBS from my guide. I did a reboot yesterday and it still didnt show, i rebooted twice this morning and havent had a chance to check again to see if channel changes are working right yet.

I am seriously getting ready to buy a 942 and return this hunk to costco. I thought they were gonna get this thing closer with 215, now it sucks.....Speaking of the 942 what is the lease deal? I heard something about a less than 250 lease options coming out, did that happen??

Is 28-1 your normal DMA local or is it outside of your DMA?
From what I been hearing the only ones that lost their DMA locals were non-subscribers. However I heard something about one particular PBS station that had a PSIP problem it's listed somewhere in one of these current threads so see if the call letters match or not.

It is an OTA from los angelos, so i guess that makes it a DMA. 215 gave me guide info for 28-1 and now 216 completely removed the channel altogether from my guide (cant ,manually tune to it either).

I don't blame mark its ABSOULTELY not his fault, I just think that dish needs to enlist more of us to test this stuff before they release it.

PS I really think im getting a 942 and dumping the F%$$ng 921!

I have the same problem with OTA's in the guide going back to L213. I use a Silver Sensor which is highly directional. If I tune to a channel before aiming the "SS" in the proper direction sometimes the EPG gets locked up due to a lack of signal. In previous s/w versions the problem got so bad that the banner would display an incorrect channel, it would even mix-up analog and DTV channels.
