720p or 1080i for a 1280x768 plasma?

Should I set up the 942 for 720p or 1080i output? Which will better match the native resolution of my new Pioneer with 1280x768 native resolution?

almost always the scaler in the TV set is gonna be better than the scaler in the STB.

so set the 942 to 1080i since almost every channel is 1080i, except for ABC, FOX, and ESPN
