A lot of "Technical Difficulty" slates on

It seems that there are a lot of channels that have a Technical Difficulty slate up. Here is the list of what they are at the time Im typing this:

9410 - Link TV
9415 - FSTV
9417 - HTVN
9418 - PAEC
216 - Catalog TV Infomercial
217 - Auction TV Informercial
218 - Mens Channel
219 - TV Mall
223 - Healthy Living Channel
405 - TVG

It seems that its limited to PI or Infomercial channels (except for TVG which is sports) Did the source satellite go out for these channels or what?

I do know TVG comes from Galaxy 11, and I checked other channels that use that same source satellite, and they aren't having problems, so it could be something else too.

Channel 9713 Hallmark on Sky Angel has a "We are eperiencing technical difficulties screen as well. Dish channel 185 (hallmark is okay)

I am currently having a problem with odd numbered TPs at 61.5 on my end I need to fix so I wasn't able to check those.

The infomercial channels, and HTVN are slowly coming back on now. Whatever it was, its coming to an end.

BTW, I decided to take a look at the live internet stream of the PAEC PI channel, and it was fine. Maybe something happened on E*'s end?

It was something at 61.5 mostly. As I mentioned the Hallmark at 61.5 was interrupted while the Halmark at 110 was fine. So it was something at Dish.

No channels were shuffled as of 6:25 AM EDT except the usual MLB Extra Innings channel moves.

Maybe Dish should adopt a policy where if they have technical difficulties with a channel that they temporarily put up a shopping channel with a message about the technical difficulties with the original channel.

A TD slate popped up again later on 9417 due to a problem on HTVN's end. Sometime after the channel came back, a public service announcement got stuck in a repeat loop, so I decided to pop a tape in and record it. After awhile, the screen went gray, and E* threw up a TD slate again.

Do not be selfish... Regardless if you watch any of them or not - you are NOT the only one out there.... (i, for one, do not watch any of them neither (but then i do not watch much of anything to start with anyhow) - but that's besides the point) .. The bottom line is - you are NOT the only one out there :rolleyes:

P.S. on a different note.. by the way - that PAEC (EPG name for ch. 9418) reminds me of your name.. all letters match :)

I have seen this before on HTVN 9417. A repeating PSA loop. Seems to happen during the overnight hours mainly. Perhaps they don't have 24/7 human master control?
