I have purchased an UltimateTV combination, and awaiting delivery. I will be getting the Boston locals, but want to get the Local New Hampshire station, as well. So, I'm looking at an off-air antenna, to add to the mix.

Any suggestions? I bought the unit from OrbitSat, and see the following Off-Air antennas that might be what I want -

Channel Master CM3010
DX Antenna DTA-2000
Jasco TV94752

I'm not going to get the Boston channels very well, from off-air, where I live. So, I'm only worried about stations I should be able to receive pretty easily.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

TIA!

How far are you located from your local tower(s), do you have a reasonable line of sight to them, or are there significant hills between you and the tower, and are you looking to receive VHF (ch 2-13), UHF (ch 14-65) or both? Are you looking to put the antenna on your roof, in an attic, or inside by your television? We can probably point you in the right direction with these answers.

Also, if you haven't already, check this web site to see how big your antenna should be and which direction it should be pointing:

Thanks, the web site helps!

According to the web site, I need a medium directional antenna.

I don't have any major obstructions, and would be placing the antenna on the roof, hopefully, w/ the DirectTV antenna.

I see the symbol I need to look for on the antenna box, just don't have any boxes to look at!

It doesn't hurt to go bigger than recommended. The Antennaweb site told me I needed a medium omnidirectional to pick up my stations and it didn't work. Since all my stations come from the same hilltop about 45 miles away, I returned the Omni and got a big Rat Shack VHF mounted in my attic and it works great.
