I'm using the beta of IE7 right now and it's pretty nice.
There are two versions of IE that get installed, a full version and one with ActiveX and such disabled. I'm not big on tabbed browsing, but it works pretty much the same way as in Firefox. Click a link with the scroll wheel and the link will open in a new tab or right click a link and select open in new tab. As you can see, next to the current page being viewed tab, there is a blank tab, when you click on it, it opens a blank page and there you can enter a new URL. Favicons are displayed in the tabs just like in Firefox.
There is a search bar on the top right, and what’s nice is that if you chose another search engine besides MSN, if you type in a URL incorrectly it will take you to whatever search engine you selected. For example, I use Yahoo, so if I want to go to XMs website, but type in www.xmradif.com, Yahoo will open up with a list of suggested sites.
Also below is a shot of this site in RSS. Honesty I don’t know what RSS is, other then it’s has something to do with Blogs and it’s not supported in IE6 or something like that, Don’t know how it shows up in IE6, but displays nicely in IE7.
As for page rendering, it seems a little faster then IE6, not much though.
Below are a bunch of screenshots of IE7 with the actions I described above. Overall this appears to be a great browser and I can’t wait until it is final. About the only thing I don’t like is that you can’t move the menu bar directly underneath the title bar.
