I am in the process of moving and will actually have to live in a hotel for 3 weeks until we can move into a new house. I called Dtv to cancel service, they talked about movers connection and all but I figured just cancel it and I can restart when I know exactly of my move in date. Long story short, I was sent to customer retention and got the following as I was looking for an HD DVR:
Was given Movers Connection and new HDDVR for $299 inc all shipping and taxes. I saw a form on the DTV website that there is a $100 rebate on this so I might be able to get this down to $199. Couldn't believe what I was seeing as I knew it was retail at $649.
So, if you are out of contract and interested, there may be major price drops on this coming up!
