As of today, I have some odd behavior with a couple of my OA HD channels. 27 (FOX): This channel will not do partial zoom or full zoom.
19 (UPN) Full Zoom causes a very shaky picture.
All other channels appear to be fine and I can zoom them without the distortion.
Anybody got any ideas?
Did Dish push down some new software that might have some undesireable side affects?

I don't think it's Dish, but more likely your local stations doing something strange with the encoding. I had a similar issue about 6 months ago with our Fox station in Denver - the 6000 wouldn't do either of the zoom modes. Turns out the station was installing a new encoder (that has since gone bad on them again!) and the setup was causing the 6000 problems. If it's a big deal, call the stations and ask them if anything has changed recently.

Fixed the shaky picture by zooming in and then going into the HDTV setup on the 6000 and adjusted it a few lines up. That shaking went away after that.

Aha! I have seen this. On some OTA locals, the up conversion from 480p or 720p to 1080i doesn't work right and you get a striping effect in the picture. The cure is to do what you said. Go into the HDTV menus and adjust the position of the picture.

If your Fox is broadcasting in 480p, the only thing the 6000 will do is Stretch. This is a quirk with the 6000's software, I believe. I emailed Dish Tech Support over 3 months ago and they never responded.

Yeah, Fox is broadcasting 480p here.
