Well, the pit contained an old vinyl recording of the Mamas and Papas and some guy living in a fully equiped shelter complete with electricity, lights and a fancy audio system.

Dude this is an HD show, but yeah that was pretty freaking sweet.

Perhaps also edit the thread to say "contains spoilers"

I don't have an HD though. :(

Dude this is an HD show, but yeah that was pretty freaking sweet.I couldn't identify that reel to reel machine he had in there and I thought I could identify anthing like that placed in front of me.

well that episode just opened way too many questions for me even to begin with.

really great stuff.

Things in the open. The guy in the hatch is the same guy who was running with jack in the stadium in the flashback.

A lot of the stuff in the hatch was dated, but they showed a washing machine that was one of the new ones.

I don't think the guy built this place but rather found it.

He mentioned to jack in the flash back that he was going on a run around the world.

Maybe this was a leg where he got marooned traveling over it.

But then again he also told jack that he'd see him soon in the afterlife, really weird...

This series is just SO FREAKING GOOD!!! There are a ton of questions yet to be addressed and new ones that popped up.

Yes, excellent!!

I just hope Walt isn't actually dead! :(

I was really glad to have the recap of last season. There was a lot I missed, apparently.

BFG, a lot of us still don't have it in HD, but instead have to rely upon the WAY too overly freakin' compressed E* locals!!
But don't even get me started on that... :D

He mentioned to jack in the flash back that he was going on a run around the world. Was it "run around the world" or "race around the world"? I remember it being said but just not exactly what was said. It probably doesn't make any difference though but in this show, you never know.

This series is just SO FREAKING GOOD!!! There are a ton of questions yet to be addressed and new ones that popped up.Just when we thought we were going to learn everything the first 3 episodes...they spring a bunch of new questions on us.

cdru, there are always many more questions than answers on Lost. That's the beauty of it!

Hey, did anybody happen to notice that Ethan from Lost (supposedly dead now, if ya didn't know..) was Gunneson in Threshold?

pretty sure it was "race around the world"....I can go check if you want, it's still on the TiVo.

"Quaranteen" was written on the INSIDE of the hatch door. Perhaps the bunker was built to observe activity on the island. Where/How is he getting his supplies? This season could quickly turn into a completely different story.

The Ladies looked rather hot and sweaty. They really should have take a swim :D .

Richard King

Just checked on my DVR it was "race around the world"

The most interesting line in that conversation on the steps was "What if you did fix her?" and Jack responds "That would take a miracle" and he did "fix her". Desmond departs Jack and says: "See you in another life"

alright, my big beef with this show is where are they getting all the batteries? No one seems to care that the flashlight might run out of juice eventually! I know, it's just TV but seriously!! (not to mention all the fuel for the torches, that dudes electricity in the hole......)

TNGTony

I think the computer in the bunker is some sort of dead-man's switch.

Walt is alive (just a vision). But even the dog saw him. Just general spookiness

A couple of thoughts after watching Lost: those 60 minutes (well, 45 on a DVR) go by so fast compared to any other programming I watch, and that is about the only show that I wish would last twice as long as it does! You can't get enough of it, it's over before you know it, and just leaves you craving more.

That, is excellent TV! :)

No, I don't think they are already dead. I do agree that the quarantine warning was for the people inside, meaning the outdoors was quarantined from those dwelling inside.

I thought the dude running in the stadium with Jack said 'see you in another life' rather than the afterlife.

Glad to hear Locke talk about the black smoke cloud that tried to drag him underground. I still say the nanotechnology theory seems the most plausible. 'Walt' was a cloud of nanites assembled into his image. But did anyone understand what 'Walt' whispered. Despite rewinding it several times, I couldn't make out what he said.

I thought the dude running in the stadium with Jack said 'see you in another life' rather than the afterlife. You got it right. See post 12 above.

I agree with your opinion on the show. It's, no question, the best television on today.

In actuality, I think they are all dead.

I had been thinking the same thing but I saw an interview with the creator and he said they're NOT dead.

Lip reading did me no good and the Closed captions said "[whispering indistincly]" or something to that efffect. No help here!

You have to listen to it backwards.

Found it on other sites. :)

as far as the question of electricity goes....remember last season when Sayid stumbled upon a large power cable coming from the ocean into the jungle.

TNGTony

Okay, I recorded the portion of the voice to my computer and using Nero editor I flipped the track to play backwards. I listened to it backwards for a good coulpe of minutes and all I could thing about was "turn me on dead man." :) No wait, that was The Beatles' White Album...er... "I buried paul". No.... The sound of a firetruck going by"...Damn all these Beatles backwards things...

LOL

Really I did hear something, but it is very subjective. I heard one thing clearly until I made myself disregard it because it made no sence, then I heard this

Really this is speculation but if you don't like spoilers or possible spoilers stop reading now:

You were warned...

Really.. this could implode your brain.

I heard Walt whisper {backwards}

Last chance

Okay, you really want to know "Press the button. Don't. -the- button's bad"[

The -the- in the statement is something I did not hear but there was a sound there and the speach is very slurred.

remember last season when Sayid stumbled upon a large power cable coming from the ocean into the jungle.Ah, they are working on the solution to the high cost of gasoline. Now, if they can do it without the extension cord....

(Thought I'd leave the OTHER Lost thread for the hidden Easter Eggs... ;))

Can't believe no one is really commenting on this show... I know you all like it!

Just a few comments from last night's episode:
1. Only Hurley could get away with calling Sun 'dude'.

2. If you men think you'll meet the girl of your dreams by bumping into her while you're checking out some other chick's ass, you better think again... :p

3. Did anyone else think it was just DUMB when Sawyer asked that chick if she was married and then said it was too bad cuz it suited her..? :icon_lame OK, this HAS to be the lamest moment in Lost history, and IIRC there have been NONE up to this point.. What did they have to go and do that for? Obviously, a girl who could kick his ass would surely be a turn-on for a guy like Sawyer, but last night's dialogue would NOT have existed between those two types of people!!

I thought last night's episode was pretty much a waste. The only thing we really learned is that the "others" have legs (after seeing them walk by while Jin and friend were hiding). After finding out a little bit about the Desmond's bunker, we've been left hanging.

I really didn't think Sawyer's line was that lame. I got a chuckle out of it. His sarcasm was quite fitting, IMO.

... while Jin and friend were hiding....They said his name was Mr. Echo. (Although on the closed captioning they spelled it E-K-O.. ) On IMDb his character actually has no name, but all the rest do. I think he must be very important! :D

I'm guessing he's another "native" impersonating someone on the flight.

The natives we've seen with the tail-section group seem different from others we've encountered. Walking barefoot and killing everyone they see, they seem more savage (although we've not really seen them yet), totally unlike the more calculating baby snatchers that use boats or take the time to impersonate other members of the flight.

And of course there is the crazy french lady and now the unstable button pusher.

Why is Lost already into reruns? What's the deal? Today's is a rerun of Oct. 5th's show... already.

Why is Lost already into reruns? What's the deal? Today's is a rerun of Oct. 5th's show... already.Mid season reruns. My guess is last week was because of the world series. Don't know what the excuse is this week. New episode next week though. I thought tonight was suppose to be a new episode as well. I kept thinking this is one long-ass recap.

I was wondering the same thing myself, and I checked with a friend who works at a ABC station. The explanation is that sweeps begin tomorrow, and ABC is holding back episodes. Veronica Mars is also a repeat tonight.

Text from an e-mail from ABC I received this morning:

Lost, Wednesdays 9/8c
A can't miss episode: Sawyer's wound becomes life-threatening as he, Michael, Jin and the "tailies" make their way back to camp. Shannon is again haunted by visions of Walt. And one of the castaways becomes the next island casualty.

(Not listed as a spoiler since ABC is promoting the episode this way--also because I don't know how to do that.)

That storyline probably will not continue until 11/23.

And what's with the "extended" episode next week?

cdru
11-10-05, 09:01 AM
That storyline probably will not continue until 11/23.You think that soon? I mean, we've known about the hatch now for what, a month now and we still know nothing about it really. The last two episodes seem to have dragged down the series a little IMHO.

TNGTony

Next week they will have an episode dealing with the entire story of the other survivors of the flight. Basically a giant reset button to the beginning of last year and going to the other side of the island and telling their story. From what I understand it will be compressed into one long episode, but I am not sure.

See ya

As far as I am concerned the show would be just as good with an hour of Evangeline Lilly walking on the beach in her underwear.
