My trusty 6000 rebooted three times, once every 90 seconds tonight while watching DiscHD. I changed to HDNet and the rebooting stopped. Then I changed back to DiscHD, and the rebooting started again.
Now I cannot even get it to come up at all. Just blinking power LED, dark, then back to blinking. Nothing out of the video outs at all now.
I am trying the old "unplug from wall for 15 minutes" trick right now. Is there something going on at Dish right now??? Is there a new software that is causing this??? Anyone else with a 6000 having issues tonight?

Mine has started semi-daily reboots...
I another thread, someone posted about turning it off, unplugging it... then taking out the two expansion cards (one for the 8PSK the other for OTA) and re-seating them and putting everything back together.
Seems to have worked for a couple of folks... so as soon as I get inspired to get behind the TV with a screwdriver, I'll be doing that to mine and see if it helps.

Got it on long enough to do a Factory Default from the setup. Was watching picture, went into Favorites to set up a list and BAM.. rebooted again. Back to constant reboots again...

Pull out the modules from the back (the 8psk and 8vsb, if you have it). Then turn it on. You should be able to watch the SD channels.
Once you get this far, turn it off, unplug, and reinsert the 8psk module. Make sure you jam it in there nice and tight. Turn it back on and see if it will tune to the HD channels.
If that works, turn off, unplug, and reinsert the 8vsb module if you have it. Same deal as above.
If you have problems with any of these steps, remove the black cover, try using compressed air and blowing out all the dust.
If that fails, you're SOL.

Thanks for the advice. I did in fact remove both modules and hit the insides with some air. It came back on for about 3 minutes and crashed again. I called Dish, and they are sending me a replacement for $20 + $15 rush shipping!
Part 2:
I had them activate my really old model 3000 for a temp solution. But when I hooked up the Sat feed and did a switch test it came up with a problem. I took 61.5 out and only hooked up the 500 and got:
#1= X
#2=119
#3=110
#4=110
The receiver has the old blue smart card, and Dish said it should still get some channels. The only channel I can get though is ch101.
Could this have anything at all to do with the 6000 problem? Weird thing is, one of the times the 6000 came up, I did a switch test and it came up all good!?
Going on the roof this morning...

Its probably not even worth it to try and fix that 3000 if it has a blue card. I believe there is like 4-5 channels left that work with it, ch101 being included :)
Make sure the 3000 has downloaded its most current firmware.. Point a dish300 towards 119 and let it sit for awhile powered off but plugged in.
I would also try to get each sat individually first, to rule out lnb / switch / cable problems.
First get the easiest setup to work (1 sat 119 directly connected). Then go from there :)
