Last Friday I got a Terk TRK-S24 Oval dish. This dish receives DTV programming from the 101, 110, & 119 satellites. I could only get it to work on the original 101 satellite. I tried everything I could think of,switching the dual LNBs raising the height of the dish, switched receivers (I have a Sony SAT-A55 & SAT-A65),but got nothing but 101. I called Terk and they said I must have a bad multi switch and they'll send me a new one. The company I bought it from said the installation of the oval dishes can be tricky. I've had Directv almost since the beginning, early 1995. My wife and I wired the house, installed the dish, moved the dish, upgraded to an after market 24 inch dish. We installed our own Directv DSL, which was no real challenge.
Is installing the oval dishes that tricky? If so, what do I need to look out for? Or what other equipment do I need to buy to install it?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
