DVR Question

I have had dish for 3 years now. I've wanted DVR for a while, but I didn't want to pay the $5 monthly fee. I see that there isn't a fee for the 501/508 and the 721. Is that correct? Also I want to get it off ebay. I'm looking at a refurbished one and the seller is rating is almost 100%. Is it a good idea to get it off of ebay? Thanks for the help!

Before you buy a receiver from an individual on EBay be sure to get the "R00" number from them and call Dish Network to make sure it's a box that's got a "clear account" and isn't actually leased. If the seller won't give you this number off the receiver, run, don't walk away from the purchase!

The 721 is a dual tuner reciever, which means you'll need 2 cables from the dish to the reciever. Other than that, simple as anything.
