Back when when the odometer of time rolled over from 1999 to 2000 (Y2K), what country's entire air force fleet was scrambled to a house fire?

Take CNET's entertaining and informative "10-Year IQ Test" to see if you remember as much about the past 10 years of technology as you think. You might just learn something.

Nick- I hate to correct a vanguard of correctness but an odometer is an instrument to measure distance not time. You should just say:

Back when the "clock; chronometer"; or most correctly state " calendar".

I know you never confuse farther and further. Maybe you were just being inaccurate to emphasize a point. ????

And I always thought that it measured how long it has been since somebody showered. Shows just how much I know.

Obviously, no one has taken the test or you brains would know the answer.

Nick- when I got to the question that asked what judge served on the court for a Microsoft case- I quit wasting my time because by that time I knew that the author had no idea what the definition of technology was. :D

Well I took it and managed 7 of 10. Which has allowed me to feel a bit superior around here  , since I fowarded it on to my co-workers and the best any of them did was 6 of 10 and couple of them actually ended up w/ only 2 of 10! Small consolation for me as most of them are in higher positions and make more money, oh well, i'll take what I can get. Oh by the way Nick love your signature line! :D

I'm embarrassed (not really) to admint that I only got half of the answers correct. I used to do so well on multi-choice tests.

Re your sig's quote of Everett Dirkson - I haven't thought of him in ages. He was quite the distinguished elder statesman, as I recall.

10 year IQ testYou lived it, man

Well, I completed the test and scored 6 correct but have to admit most were guesses. I'm more knowledgable on the technology of technology than the politics and marketing of technology which this test seems to center on.

I found some other ones too and being new to PDA's I decided to try my hand at it. Only one question I didn't know which was the first smart phone and Iguessed it wrong. Scored a 9 out of 10 on that one. :)

I might try a few others when I have time.

I suppose its fun to score well but when I didn't, I blamed the test. Ha!

Yeah - I only got 3/10 on the "remember the names" test.

Of course, I got 10/10 on the PC test.
