Hello

I posted in the General section this morning about my issues with the 4900. I've pretty much decided on getting the 625. Right now I have the 811 connected to the Mits for HD and the 625 will be on "one" tv only. I want the use of "PiP". I'm still using the Legacy stuff with two twin LNB's with (2) SW-21 switches. I've read here something about the "DishPro" or "DishPro Plus" LNB is needed with a seperator?

Now I can run another line if needed. For me it wouldn't be bad just a minor pain. But since I have the 811 and ready to get the 625 would getting some "newer" LNB's/switches give me better performace and response versus the Legacy stuff?

One question about "Voom" to. Say if I get another dish with the DishPro/Plus LNB. What do I need to add/do if I added another Dish to get the Voom channel? Thanks for any help.

A DishProPlus LNB has the switch built into it already, so all you have to do there is input your feed from the single LNB from your 61.5 wing dish. Also, all you need then is a DishProPlus separator @ your 625 and both tuners will work.

Yea I went searching and found some with the same setup. I found a separator and now a DishPro Plus LNB.

Since I have the "Legacy" stuff can I just swap out the LNB's with the DPP and leave the Dish alone or will I have to do any realigning?

Also if i want to add another Dish to get Voom what LNB do I need? I presume just plug it into the "input" and that's it? No switches or anything else?

The simplest solution is to get a Dish1000. It includes a DPP-Twin & another DP LNB so that 2 receivers can get 110/119/129. V* is on 129 (along with 61.5). The DPP Separator supplied with the 625 will work with the DPP-Twin so keep you from having to run a second feed cable for it.

It's my standard 811/625 install now.
