I just received my R15 and I can't seem to find the access card. Is it suppose to come with one? Where should it be?

It should come with one. Mine was loose in the box (but wrapped in plastic like a baseball card) with the manual and other materials. If you truly don't find it, you'll have to contact the vendor to get a replacement.

Mine was in the same sealed plastic wrapper but was actually taped to the foam wrapper sleeve for the DVR.

Wow, thanks! I can't believe I missed it. It was taped to the wrapper the receiver came in. I must've tossed that wrapper around about 10 times looking for the access card.

Thanks for the help guys, could've sworn I was missing it.

I wonder how many cards get thrown away by accident because of where they choose to place that card in the packaging.

Mine was taped to the inside of the packing box flap.

Mine was loose, but I did have a set of stickers with the serial number and the RID on the inside of the box top flap. These numbers are, of course, necessary for activating the box.

Actually I NEVER used those numbers when activating mine. I used all the numbers off the Info screen and was up and running in 5-10 mins max.

The activation glitch I had was the CSR entering "8" when I said "A", etc. Don't think I mumble *that* bad, :)

Same here. I have tried to activate a receiver before only to find out the numbers on the box label were not the correct ones. :(
I only use the info screen now.

Sounds like someone is swaping the access cards before shipping?

Maybe, but the receiver serial didn't match the box label either. This was about 4 or 5 years ago, I bought it "New" from amazon. It actiavted just fine after I got the correct numbers and haven't heard anything about it since. Sounds like maybe it was put in a different box than original, maybe due to the original being damaged.
That receiver has since been demoted to guest bedroom anyway. :)
