Had D* out this morning to run another line for the new R15. No problem with the install and everything is working fine. At 4:00pm there is a knock on the door and it is UPS with packages from D*. One contained a new dish (huge one intergerated Ka/Ku deal?!?) and the second box has another R15 and a HD reciever. Now there are two items here which are puzzling. One is I never ordered any items through D* just the install of the second line and second I don't have an HD Tv so I know I would have never ordered the HD reciever. Went right away and checked my bill and there is nothing charged? Has this ever happened to anyone?

The picture on the box has 2 arms coming out from the dish. Have no idea if it is 5 LNB's??

I really wish I knew how to install the dish myself becasue I don't want to call them to have an installer come out and set it up incase it is not true.

It's not that hard at all. I have done all of my own installs for years now. There are plenty of instructions out there on aiming and mounting and the self aiming ones make it even easier.

If you werent expecting any other new equipment, why didnt you just refuse the package from UPS since it is apparent it was a mistake and wasnt meant for you?
Or did you do that and I missed your mention of it?

Generally the law states that you can keep merchandise that you did not order.
Keeping the dish may be fine, but then, if you called to have it installed or tried to activate the receivers, you will be required to agree to a commitment and may be responsible for paying for everything.
If the package was not addressed to you at your address, then, it doesn't belong to you anyway anyhow.
