This is my first DVR, so I don’t have a frame of reference for comparison. My R15 appears to perform the elementary, basic recording functions OK, but there seems to be a major flaw in the caller ID feature. It works fine for a while but then periodically quits working and calls are not displayed or recorded in memory anymore. This behavior seems to happen when I receive a call that my other caller ID units display as “number unknown” or “out of area” (which is usually a wrong number). The work-around I’ve found is to unplug the R15 and force it to reboot and then everything if fine until I get another anonymous call. It looks like it should, at worst, just ignore that call but keep on working. Or maybe I’m doing something wrong?

Nope, you're not doing anything wrong. It's happening to me and a lot of others (if not everyone). It's my major gripe with the box. Maybe D* will fix it with a software update soon. :(

I'm having the caller ID problem too, and likewise, I have to reboot and then it works for a short while. Does anyone know if a fix is imminent?
