View Full Version : National HD feeds of NBC, CBS, ABC, & FOX
I have heard that Dish is to offer national feeds of the 4 big networks for qualifying areas in the future. Anybody else heard this or know more about it? Mainly, when?
The odds are that they will just provide the HD Feeds from the NYC and LA stations and will only be available to people who live in markets where their station for that network is O&O (Owned and Operated by the Network)
I meet one Dish's 2 qualifying methods for cbs, for all statios other than cbs. So if they have the same policy for the cbs station as they would for the other 3 than I would qualify. I live in a digital white area for NBC and FOX, which is the two that I need. Directv offers national feeds, and I qualify for those, don't do me any good at dish. But if I knew what I know now about the networks in hd then I might have gone the other way. Any idea when they will be online?

A Dish CSR told me about a week ago that Dish is planning to offer HD feeds of the 4 major networks, but she did not know how soon.

Not to be mean or anything, considering we all try to help each other out, but the statement that Dish will support the 4 major networks without a specific date is like me saying that Ford will come out with a newer version of their F150, we just don't know when.
Either way, just the fact that CSRs mentioned this info to subs is a good thing, I guess, because it means it's probably just around the corner, hopefully in the first quarter of next year.
Cool, that is really good news. That is the only way I will get the networks in HD. The closest nbc or fox station is about 115 miles, no way I can pick them up.
