I had a DVR921 for about 5 months and it worked great. Then on day I was browsing my saved shows. The thing locked up. I rebooted it and I all I would get to come on is the cooling fan and one of the front panel lights. (Not the POWER light) Dish replaced the DVR and the second one failed the same way. After the forth DVR failed ( For similar reasons) and many hours on the phone I decided to cancel my subscription and go back to the Evil Comcast. I love Dish's service, but not the failure rate of the hardware. Dish would not refund my $500 for the receiver or offer me the DVR-942 without making me pay for it. :flaiming
