I am in the Los Angeles area, actually Orange county, and all my VOOM channels say off air on the guide and when i select the channels they say "this is a special event which is not available for purchase". Is it just me? and if so what should i do to correct? I have a second dish pointed at 61.5 and have been receiving the VOOM channels since soon after they started. i am getting a 78 on tp 3. its been a good signal until now.
thanks for any help

When the EPG says "Off Air" they are OFF AIR. They are all listed as Normal by 6:00 AM EST. They are doing something.
Some are listed as normal by 5:00 AM EST.

It may deserve its own thread... I posted something in the Uplink thread because I was too lazy to start a new thread and it seemed appropriate since people were asking if there was any new info about the potential new channels...

I could only scan 3 hours out at a time without waiting for a download, since that's all the 6000 will keep in the guide give or take... and I wasn't sure at first if the channels were really going off-air or if it was a guide hiccup because of something they were doing. Either way, I figured something was going on.

Perhaps something potentially positive... or maybe they will come on at 6am and people who were smart enough to go to sleep will be none the wiser and wonder what all the fuss was about!

hehe thanks HD i think you are right. the smart ones are the ones that are asleep. obviously i am not one of them. that said... it would be so cool to see another 10 or 11 VOOM channels, plus whatever else they have going on, in a few hours. it might actually be the thing that days off were made for. darn where were these channels when i had a 4 day weekend?
