I purchased a HD DVR a few months ago and sent in the $100 rebate on it.
I'm now interested in getting a regular HD receiver and sending in the $200 rebate that's being offered on them. Is there any reason I wouldn't be elegible for that rebate?

There is no restriction beyond the ones enumarated at Directv's website
www dot directv dot com/see/landing/hdrebate_cust.html
you will need to subscribe to the HD package, and commit to 2 years of programming

Does it matter where you buy it from ie Costco?

I didn't see any restrictions on where the receiver was bought (but assume that it would have to be from an authorized dealer, as they require a proof of purchase).
But, I don't think Costco sells D* (I think they carry E*)

Definatly D just picked 1 of the 2 HD DVR's they had left from a whole pallet i saw on friday. I'll find out and if not take advantage of Costco's generous return policy.
Regarding rebates - I sent the form in for the $100 rebate in late September
and haven't heard anything. How long does it take. Jack Bulverde TX
