It's that time again. Echostar kicks a new satellite into orbit (from one of those weird named former Soviet states this time). Echostar 8 launches this Saturday morning at 1:15 Eastern. Launch coverage live on channel 101.

Using E7 as a guide, E8 should start testing in about 4 weeks, and be online and operational in 6-8 weeks, as Tony said. :D
