I’ve had Cox cable for a long time now and it gets worse by the weeks. I am looking to pay around 41-45.00 after taxes and all for at least 150 plus channels along with a few movie channels... Is this possible? Do the direct TV systems work on the cards still? Would I be able to goto the Pawn shop or EBay and buy a whole system? I am not looking for a contract right now due to the fact I would like to play with my options and see what is best. Any info would help guys. My zip code is 74401 Muskogee, Oklahoma

Thanks, Bobby

P.S. I have talked to a few guys in Dish Network’s area on the forum here... This site is great!!!

I would not bother going to a pawn shop or Ebay since at those places you have no idea about the integrity of what you are buying. You can get a free system from DirecTV including free installation. Don't worry about the contract. If you end up not liking the system all you will have to do is return the equipment to DTV. So you are really not losing anything. Just go to Directv.com to see all the programming packages and pricing.

No you can't go to a pawn shop and buy a complete system. Directv won't start a new account with used equipment. You will need to get new equipment for FREE and sign at least a 1 Yr. contract.
You need to read the agreement for this forum asking about pirated cards is a NO NO.:nono:

As I've mentioned before, yes you can return equipment to DTV to avoid chargeback but the selling dealer still is faced with the chargeback if the 1 year commitment isn't honored. If you add up the dealers cost from paying the Installer, buying equipment, advertising, servicing customer this chargeback can hurt. Throughout these posts I read of numerous customers unsatisfied with the quality of their installation due to bad installers. Most retailers like ourselves do pay our installers well so we can make sure our installs are of the highest quality and the consumer is happy. To have the customer cancel service before he honors his signed 1 year agreement doesn't help the cause for all retailers to pay that extra for quality.

yeah, All the fee's and install's, not knowing if someone is gonna do it right.. having to hastle with them to come back out if its not right almost seem's not worth it. I know forsure I wont be able to do direct tv now because of all the fee's people pay way to much for tv these days..way to much.

At 180 is $52.99 and AT-120 is $42.99 and movie services are $13. Maybe a TV antenna would be cheap enough but definitely lacking in programming.:)
