I've been reading everything I can about the R15, and even played with it at Circuit City and it seems like its ALOT like the UTV box I used to have. My biggest question that I have that I haven't seen answered is does the R15 have something like the 28 day rule?

The reason I ask is I may want to record re-runs (like for Seinfeld or something) but I don't want to get the same episode from 5 channels within a week. So, does the R15 have a 28-day rule type system in place?

yes it does. I have a SL setup for Family Guy on Cartoon network. They have an episode on at 10:30PM and then show the same episode again at 1:30AM. My R15 will only record the 10:30 showing, so I only get one recording of the same episode.

Delete the 10:30 Episode and the 1:30 episode will be recorded. At least it does it to me all the time. If I delete something before the replay I get the replay. Could have something to do with the same bug as the First Run where everything gets recorded.

See, that's a deal killer because I record alot of stuff that gets replayed often (Such as family guy, it'll be played twice a day atleast on Adult Swim, then again on TBS). With this 'bug' or 'feature' if you have a season pass for something like seinfeld to record from every channel, you would end up with way too many recordings, which might bump other recordings of shows you haven't seen yet.

Well I don't guarantee everyone has the problems I do, BUT I think it's just a bug and sould be fixed shortly. It may even just have something to do with the guide data which others have been saying is getting better. I can't confirm or deny that as I haven't been home much the last couple of weeks.

yeah, if its a guide data thing then you get hit with it on tivo too, and since they use the same guide data thats a non issue. some shows are infamous when it comes to guide data (the daily show)
