I am currently a Dish Network subscriber and have been for the past 6 years. I will be moving in January and have purchased a HDTV and DVR942. When I move to my new house, I want to be able to receive the HD Pack, possibly Voom, and the America's 120 pack. I can receive my local channels with an antenna, so I don't need to subscribe to the locals package. Obviously, MPEG-4 will be coming sometime in 06 and I want the installers at my new house to install a dish that will be adequate for the upcoming changes to service and the possibility of MPEG-4. Will I need to ask for the Dish 1000, SuperDish or will they just give me something??? Please help!

It depends on where you are moving what dish they will give you. Some markets should be getting D1000's for locals. Some markets have SuperDishes for locals. If you want Voom they will either need to install a D1000 or a separate dish for 129° or 61.5° .

I have heard (but haven't been able to verify it) that sometime during 2006 all new installations will include a Dish1000.
