Thats what B&W can look like on a color tv.....if the color shifts just little, maybe caused by a little Y/C delay, you can see red, green, or blue. If you're just seeing red or green, maybe its just a Christmas thing....
;)
Even the best color tvs cant show B&W perfectly, like a true B&W set could....

If E* knew when the feed from the provider was b/w they could probably turn off the color to help this problem. But that's a lot of work to keep up with all the channels and various modes. It's easier to set it and forget it.

The thing thoses type error show up in color show to don't worry about the diagonally line interference in picture that was cuases by some else but if look closely at fox
Well I called dish there tech pearson come out monday hoply they fix this problem.
Well they sent him out funny thing he keep say he couldn't see any wrong picture boy was start get a little piss off after point to him a number time and even had the REALtime PVR Recording going as well but with one diff the PVR show is more as you can in above screenshot so it hard to get him to see it.
The odd thing even the 301 dose it which I test this weekend.
Just so you know I test 4 PVR card diff which are ATI Theater 550 Pro, PVR 250 and 250MCE and 500MCE and both Encoder using SageTV, WinTV2000 and all them had that same type odd color artfact.
One I didn't post was the spec of the setup here

I have also seen this artifact on my 921s. Unfortunately, I do not remember which channel, show, although I do no it was not B&W, or any other details. I just remember I made a comment to my wife, "Great it looks like someting is wrong with the receiver...again."
I see a green tinted stripe appro 2-3 inches wide (on a 62" screen) that is just left of center.
Sometimes it is there and others it is not.
I can not test it right now since I am waiting on my replacement 921.
That one eazy Alpaca Bill pink or green tinted stripe usely mean aspect ratio not overscan enough.

Okay???? This time in English please?
Another words a reg video aspect ratio should be 720x480 but if the video was miss encoder to some else like 720x440 you end up with green stripe becuase the aspect ratio didn't fill the screen so by defaulte the Hardware Decoder just display green or red depend the maker of the chip.

Would this be the chip in the 921 or the chip in my Mitsu DLP or somewhere else (i.e. uplink facility or similar)?
