TV2 and OTA

Just curious why the digital OTA feeds do not show up in the TV2 guide when the 942 is in dual mode. They are available in single mode. Since I haven't been able to find a satisfactory signal combiner I am using the locals from the receiver rather than my OTA antenna. Any suggestions on these subjects would be appreciated. Also what is the advantage/disadvantage of using TV1 or TV2 in the record plus option? BTW -- Had to work during the cowboy game yesterday. How great is it to come home & watch the game in HD and also record the Seattle / Indy. I love my 942:D

It's because there is only one OTA tuner so only one user can watch OTA and they decided it would be the user of TV1.

Makes sense being that most of us are probably using a hidef tv as tv one.

One trick that I have found useful on my sd 625 - you can start a recording on tuner 1 using an OTA channel and then play it back on tv 2 in near real time (why anyone with a DVR would watch anything in real time is beyond me though).

Thanks guys. I am a little dense sometimes. Shoulda figured it on my own. I still would like to combine my OTA with dish TV2 to pass to the other TV's and would appreciate any help. My combiner is just not doin it very well.
