I have an RV and want to know what distant networks I can get. Can I choose what city/state for distant channels? I live in Oregon and I would really like Denver CO locals.

Thanks

with E*, I believe you can only choose between NYC and LA

If you are the owner of a Recreational Vehicle (RV) or a commercial truck driver, you can receive Broadcast Network Programming, including ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS and FOX. If you qualify, you can receive up to two network packages (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) from your choice of 5 cities, Chicago, Atlanta, Denver, Los Angeles, New York, plus the national PBS channel.

Thanks JL, that's great news as I and my oldest son are HUGE Broncos fans.

How about the FOX regional sports channel? I would also like to get Avalanche games.

Thanks again.

There is no RV exemption for regional sports as far as I can tell.
You can subscribe to the sports pack, but it is subject to blackout.

But then again, if you are 'moved' to Denver, Altitude and FSN Rocky Mtn will probably not be blacked out in the pack...

You will get the Regional Sports Network channel for the zip code of your "Service Address." You can also subscribe to the Sports Pak for all the RSN's but most if not all the Pro Sports games will be blacked out except your home RSN channel.

I subscribe to the Sports Pak in the winter so I can get College Hockey, but turn it off the rest of the year since my other sport, baseball, is blacked out. I am a fulltime RV'er.

'moved' ??Shorthand for 'giving E* a service address in a location where you could get the channels you wanted if you happened to live there'.

People who have 'moved' have their billing address set so they still get the bills and can pay but put their service address elsewhere. People 'move' for many reasons - some 'move' to white areas so they can get distant TV signals from NY/LA or one of the other distant cities, some move to get locals from a neighboring market or a place they care more about than where they live. People who 'move' still pay for their service and often have to deal with the little issues like installing dishes themselves, since the tech can never come to the service address. (Although some have moved home for an install then moved back after the dish was there.)

Just make sure you put the RV receiver onto it's own account seperate from your main account otherwise the audit dept may call you and lock that receiver.

The Dish CSR may or may not make you this but it is required so save yourself the headache and just do it from the start.

Long story but this is what happened to me. I bought a receiver directly from Dish for my RV, I called to activate and they said I needed a RV Waiver, which I filled out and sent in to them. Everything is okay for 44 months and then they lock my RV receiver because they are now enforcing the "all additional receivers need to be connected to the same phoneline as the main receiver" part of the RUA. I have been unsuccessful in getting them to release the receiver even though they admit that it was thier own CSR that made the error in not telling me that it needed to be on it's own account.

Moral of the story...don't trust what the CSR says since Dish will come and bite you if you are not following their RUA.

Besides some spring training games, baseball fans get to watch any part of a game that falls outside of its scheduled time. That means lots of (lower-case) extra innings. When two RSNs show the same game, my "overtime" coverage can mean two synchronized picture-in-picture feeds, often with different camera angles.

I used to copy and paste my huge list of all the fun stuff the sports pack gives you, but now I'm hosting it here: http://www.carload.com/dishsports.htm Enjoy!

'moved' ??

It means that you lie about where you are living.
