R15 intermittently not recording live TV

I've had an R15 since mid-December and have noticed over the past couple of days a couple of occasions where I have gone to hit the pause button to pause live TV, and the unit responds with the "error" sound effect and does not pause. I am unable to rewind at this point, and the time status that normally shows up on the bottom of the screen hitting the "play" button also does not appear. I have to turn the unit off and on again to restore the ability to pause/rewind/fast fwd. I thought it was just a one-shot thing at first but now it has happened a few times. Anyone experience similar behavior? My DirecTV dish is a single-LNB unit so I am only able to record one input as I only have one satellite cable coming in...would this have anything to do with it?

I would pull the plug, wait 30 seconds, and reset your box. This is more of a full reset than turning it off or pressing the red reset button. All you will lose is your guide data.

What channels are they on? Or is happening on all channels?


I am wondering if this is due to the same reason, we can't record some programs on some channels

A reset is not needed to correct this, simply change the channel one time. The only time I experienced this was by using the remote to Turn on my Home theater equipment. Turning on the DVR first then switching to the other modes. After all were on set remote back to DirecTV could not pause or record Live TV. Turning on the DVR last has prevented this bug from showing up since.

Wonder if this could be an issue with the remote codes being sent out?
