Would it be possible to have a seperate Tivo DVR discussion board and seperate D* discussion board. I'm tired of reading about D* DVR problems. R15 this, R15 that...blah... Any help is appreciated!:)

This particular "board" is cover all SD DVR discussions (we have had this debate before).

The TIVO based products have their own forum.

www.tivocommunity.com (a sister site of this one)

Which the R15 discussion was kicked out of and sent here.

I would never say never. We are always looking at how to make this place better for all. Your feedback is appreciated.

I would second that if I am allowed. ;> I think having separate boards would alleviate a lot of problems that just clutter all the R-15 discussions up. The R-15 is not perfect but its a lot better than what these combined threads make it appear. It is the newest receiver for DirecTV and supposedly the future of DirecTV.

Just to clarrify, what I wrote...

I don't want to kick TiVo discussion out of here... it does have a valid point.

But a 4th level of forum, could get just as confusing... (kinda like what happens over at another forum that I use to frequent)... there is a top level forum, that most of the chatter goes on in... but the two sub-level forums don't get that much chatter.

So if maybe it was
DirecTV SD-TiVo
DirecTV SD-DirecTV
DirecTV HD-TiVo
DirecTV HD-DirecTV

But what about then when Home Media Center, or the Microsoft Media Center stuff, or even the Pro-Series of products comes along.

I think right now, we are just getting into a transition state where on the forums we where used to always talking about one, and just need to clarrify what version you are in....

I think us as posters, just need to evolve to a point where we make sure we put what unit and model we are talking about, or at least followup the OP with a clarrification post/question.

I have a few brain cells rattling around upstairs and have no trouble sorting DirecTivo posts from R-15 posts....is it really that difficult that they cant share the same SD DVR forum?

Not a huge issue for me to sort out R15 v. TiVo posts but I too would vote for separating the board. It seems it would make searching a particular board easier, but I could be wrong.

Well the forum reorganization certainly had a profound effect on this particular sub-forum.

I guess it's good that the R15 stuff isn't interferring with the DTiVo posts.

Removed the non from the R15 because well, what the fingers said and the brain said didn't match.

Your wish is granted. ;) Now, let's fill the forum with TiVo topics.
