Not wanting to give anything away to people who haven't been watching 100%... but IF they lost Lucy Lawless for Battlestar Galactica, they will have written themselves into a small corner based on the episodes she appeared on earlier this season.

I suspect that when they are casting some of these BG roles, they are being careful to cast someone who signs on for the long haul, unless they are just hiring a bit part for someone that dies in the same episode.
