Does D* have a SD dual tuner DVR that can connect to the house cabling?

I have Dish Network with a 942 and I have the TV2 on the 942 connected to the house cable in order to watch my recorded shows on all the TVs in the house. My parents want to get D* (since dish does not have Lifetime) so I was wondering if D* has a SD DVR that will hook up similar to my 942.

Thanks for your help!

No... doesn't work the same way...

IIRC the 942 has the ability to output two different signals (two different channels/recordings)

No DirecTV DVR model (R15, TiVo, or Ultimate) have that functionality.

But you can just hookup a coax to the output on any DirecTV DVR and run that to your TV's. I have my exercise room and kitchen run that way.

But the same signal will be sent to each TV. No capability to watch different shows - or utilize the dual tuner feature.

Thanks for the replys.

That is one of the things I like about the 942. I can use any TV to watch a recorded show.

That is one of the things I like about the 942. I can use any TV to watch a recorded show. With any directv DVRs that are output to the whole house you can watch any recording on the hard drive but it will also appear on any TV that is connected. Directv dosen't have a TV 2 like DISH but they also don't charge a DVR fee for each DVR you have in the house like DISH does so you can put a DVR at each TV for no more cost than the mirroring fee.:)
