I have a TERK MSP-34 3 X 4 Powered Multiswitch that I have hooked up to an old Dual LNB with 3 receivers (2 of which is the R15 inputs) connected to it. Both receiver inputs on the R15 are receiving good signals from both the odd and even transponders. On the other receiver it was good on both until I started surfing the channels on the R15. If I stop on certain channels the other receiver would come back on but stopping on other channels the other receiver would go to "searching for satellite signal". I was wondering what would cause this to happen. I have tried a RCA version of this Powered Multiswitch and it worked the same way. Do I need to connect something to the 4th receiver out position? or is leaving it open alright? I do not know where to go from here if anyone could give me some assistance I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

Oliver

there should be no issue with the 4th port being open as long as the connection is capped (don't want any moisture dmg), have you tried swapping the cables at the multiswitch itself to test the various ports?

(however the fact you used a different mswitch altoghether leads me to beleive it may be a possible cabling issue)

just a few tips.

Paul

I had ruled out cable problems since the receiver not working correctly worked fine hooked up using the same cables without the Switcher. So since you mentioned the cable problem I went ahead and checked the cables and found one single sheild wire touching the center wire and removed it and amazingly everything works perfectly now.
