Hello everyone!
Just got setup with Dish today, as I was previously a Comcast customer. The installer came out and got everything up and running nicely. Everything was working well, when I started to have a weird issue with the DVR. I placed a call out to Dish this evening and they are sending me a new DVR unit, but I want to post the issue here to see if maybe someone else has had this problem also...
Some info on my equipment, I have a Superdish/Dish 500 (for locals?) combo, going into a DP44(?), which then goes into a DVR 625. The DVR has the latest firmware (L290) on it. The receiver is connected to one TV only...
The issue:
In single channel mode when I record a channel, hit the guide button, and then go to another channel the audio starts to become static, hissing, etc. I did some testing and found that the 2nd tuner seems to be the culprit with the bad audio sound (I found this out by opening up a PIP window and then using swap to go between tuners)...
Funny thing is, I can change my receiver to dual channel mode and everything works great. However, I cannot stop my DVR recording because I have no way of getting to the 2nd tuner since there is no TV connected to it....
I guess I am leaning towards a bad DVR also, but it is really strange that it would work fine in dual channel mode and not in single channel...
Thanks everyone!
