Ok I'm new so be gentle.

I'm looking to buy a DVR625. I'm not interested in HD at this time. I just want to have one receiver to feed two TV's and record stuff.
What is "Stereo Agile Modulated Output ( Channels 21-69, 73-125 )

I have two coax feeds from my Dish 500 going to the receiver location but I've got the impression from other threads that I only need one cable from the dish to feed the dual receiver. Yes, no, maybe?
If yes, would I get a better signal using two cables from the dish?

Thanks for the help. I'll probably have more question later.

"Stereo Agile Modulated Output" is a fancy way of saying that there is a coaxial output on the receiver and that you can change what cable channel this signal can be viewed on.

That's right. The output is an RF output that can adjusted to output an analog signal on one of a number of frequencies. This signal can be tuned by standard "cable ready" TVs and provides standard (crappy) quality analog cable video with stereo audio. Basically, it's a good way to run the output from the receiver to a second TV located elsewhere, using the existing cable / F-connector wall plates.

This doesn't influence whether you need one or two connections from the satellite dish / switch to your receiver. Unless using DishPro Plus technology, you still need two connections for a two tuner receiver.

"Stereo agile" means the RF modulator puts out stereo sound. RF modulators found on nearly all VCR's, including the stereo HiFi models have mono RF outputs. I believe even DVD players have only mono RF outputs.

The key here is "RF" aka a tunable television channel. You still get stereo for those mono modulated units if you use the non-modulated outputs which are fine for short distances and always provided the better qualilty picture and sound.
