Is it true that you can get new customer deals after you have already had dish, if you leave for six months and come back? Seems like I read this on the dish website somewhere a while back.

Well not really. You can get the new customer deal after you've been gone after 6 months with one exception, you won't get your $49.99 activation fee back like new customers do. That and you'll have to agree to an 18 month contract.

For most things in life there is only one "first time"... and you can't have a "first time" again. So why the surprise at not being able to be a new customer more than once?

People like to milk the system anyway they can, I dont agree with it either, but until the companies quit letting them do it, there aint a whole lot we can do about it. You know darn well it hurts their bottom line, which in turn, makes everyone's costs go up, but the selfish dont give a crap until they realize it affects their price/service as well....
