Does anyone know if you will be able to record two OTA shows in HD with the ViP-622?

nope, it only has a single OTA tuner

Based on my 942, my guess would be no since it only has 1 OTA tuner.

Also the OTA tuner is tied to TV1, so you won't be able to record any OTA shows in dual mode from TV2.

You can record 1 OTA (digital broadcast) and 2 satellite (SD or HD) at the same time.
You can also watch (from DVR storage) two previously recorded programs while recording the three different things at the same time.

If you happen to be lucky enough to live in a city where Dish provides locals in HD you would have the ability to record 1 OTA and 2 from your HD locals via SAT.

that would equal 3 local HD if you are a lucky to have HD Locals through Dish.. Cant wait. ;)
