As of Februray 5th......D* says to install 5-LNB?

I have read a few threads in several forums thats saying D* has sent out a notice to all installers ..starting February 6th ....there to install the new 5-LnB dish if any HD mpeg4 receivers are installed..regardless of whether the customer has local HD availible in area or not..Is this a rumor or is this a legit thing?..The reason I ask is I'm due for an H20 swap out this coming Saturday FEB.11th...and wanted to know if the installers would bring the dish or not.....?I was told i would not receive dish until Local HD was availible in my area.......but then I read these threads stating the above mentioned^^^^ and now im confused..What gives?

Yes, it is true. The only thing that should keep you from getting the KA/KU dish from being installed is:

1. If the installation company is out of dishes- it seems they can't make the things fast enough and it remains to be seen how good the logistics will work in keeping these things in the warehouses.

2. If there is no dish code on your particular work order, you won't get a dish upgrade. I imagine its already on there though so don't worry too much: I've never seen an HD work order with a 'swap' code on it that didn't have some sort of dish code on it.

It has a dish code but its listed as a 3-lnb?.....OH by the way....thanks for the quick response

I also know this is true. I have a friend who is the manager of the TV department at my local Circuit City and he said that CC changed from the 3 lnb dish to the 5 lnb on 2/1. He said they are even using that dish for non-hd new customers.

If you order an HR10-250 from D*, you get the 3LNB in Los Angeles as of today.
