R15 with 3 tuners

OK, early last night I (as usual) checked my TODO list:

8PM - Survivor - Recording

8PM - Everybody Hates Chris - Recording

8PM - NFL This Week (HBO) (X) (conflict- will not record)


No problem, Superbowl over.

A little after 9 (had been watching other recorded shows) we decide to watch Survivor. I hit LIST and all 3 of the above shows show recorded:confused:

I went in and checked, they all are FULLY recorded. I'm guessing that somehow one was time shifted but it was strange. I was going to take a photo of the LIST screen just because I know if I read this I'd say, "can't be" but it really did.

Did you have previous episodes of the show already recorded? Make sure that one of your recordings isn't really an earlier show with just a changed date/time entry in MyVOD.

I know I have had at least one instance where I had that happen - a show did not record, but the date and time stamp on a previous recording was updated to show it recorded.

They all said TODAY 8PM in MYVOD that's what caught my eye. Most likely one of those
"R15ism's" that I'll never repeat but interesting.

I had that happen once too. But I saw it in the guide before it happened and canceled one of the recordings, because I didn't want to wait to see what would happen. I also had it happen where it did record three shows in the same time period but it recording all of one and the first 5 mins of another and the last 25 mins of the other one ( the 25 mins was the lowest priority)

Maybe the R15, by a fluke error, has the ability to record 3 or more simultaneus shows if they are on the same transponder

That would be a hardware fluke... Actually having the ability to see two different data streams... even if they are on the same transponder... Possible,

But I would lean towards maybe it recorded it at a later time, and stamped the original description to it...

Either way... it is strange.

Where all three of the recordings complete? I have noticed that say you have conflict and one of the shows is getting recording and for some reason you end the recording or it stops for some reason the R15 will then start recording the show that originally wasn't going to be recorded because of the conflict.

With mine the R15 was in standby and was before and after the recording. I have had it record the other show if I do stop recording one of the 2 programs which is nice.

All 3 were complete. Now, Survivor is 1 hour but the other 2 are only 30min each so the time frame is OK. I wish now I'd have taken a picture.
