Discovery HD coming to 148 Tommorow

I am hearing unofficial grumblings that starting tommorow Discovery HD will begin to broadcast from the 148 degree location in 8PSK format. (At this point I consider this a STRONG Rumor)

Dish 6000 owners can now subcribe to Discovery HD that will need a 8PSK module in order to receive this channel.

Remember it was DBStalk.COM who broke the news about the 8PSK module!

Well, Tp 5 has a signal that mysteriously will not lock on a DVB receiver set up for SR 20000. :)

So Discovery HD will be moving off of ch 9443 and on to its own channel at 9420. 9420 (Disc) will be on both 148 and 61.5 in 8PSK 9443 (Demo) will continue to be on 61.5 only in QPSK. Correct?

The way I understand it Discovery HD on 61.5 it will be on the Demo Channel from 6pm to 6am as well as its own channel 9420 (in 8PSK) 24 hours a day.

On 148 it will only be available in 8PSK format

Okay, how do I get an 8PSK Module... or are they just brodacasting it to nobody since I havent seen this for my 6000.

A Thread on AVS Forum, indicates that that channel 9420 using 8PSK has not yet been activated on 148, as of July 6.

I think I'll wait a few more days before climbing on the roof to see if the 61.5
location is visible to me.

I was just getting ready to climb up on my roof and install the 3rd dish for 61.5...think I'll wait a couple of more days now to see if 9420 gets activated on 148.

Thats for 61.5 not 148.

It's only on 61.5 at the moment. Won't be on 148 until "sometime in August" which really probably means sometime around Christmas. :D
