Does DirectTv broadcast all of its channels in 16x9 format? I realize that there are only a few HD channels - I have an HD TV and would prefer not to watch the non-HD channels in stretched mode.

DTV broadcasts in the mode the networks broadcasts in. DTV doesn't do any adjustments on their own.

I agree about not watching streched shows. But if that exists it will be coming from the network itself. As I understand, TNT does this stretch on their HD channel for some reason. DTV is suppose to get TNT HD next Friday and if that is so, I will be complaining to TNT, not DTV.

I watch everything stretched and its not bad once you get used to it. All not stretching does is turn 42-60" widescreen TV into nothing more than a 35" picture with borders.
