I'm at 100 on TP8, but only 67 on TP10 and 76 on TP12. It's my understanding that most of the stuff on 110 is HD, so it doesn't affect me right now - but I am considering getting an HDTV at in the future...
Should I be worried about signal strengths that low on 110? Is there anything else carried on that satellite other than HD programming?
I think it is all local HD programming on spot beams, so you should only expect to see one transponder with good signal strength. If you see more, then you are seeing more than one spot beam.

No, carl, the 110 sat carries ESPN, Universal HD, HDNet, HDNet Movies, HBO HD, Showtime HD, and most of the HD DNS channels.
Oops. Thanks for the correction.

I've always had low sig from the 110 sat, previously on the 3lnb dish and still now on the ka/ku dish! always the first sig to loose to "rain fade"!

Matty,
100 on tp 8 of 110 is virtually impossible. I believe you are getting a reading from tp 28 on 101 which will happen if the 22 KHz tone does not get through. 28 is a spot beam and will show 100 for equipment in its area. Do you even have a 3LNB dish? Without one, the readings on 110 and 119 are meaningless.

Yes, I have a 3LNB dish (I'm not a moron).

It's about education, not intelligence. Some very smart people are not aware of how some stuff works. Check tps 28, 30 and 32 on 101 to see if they have the same readings as 8, 10, and 12 on 110. Check channels 490-494 for banners indicating successful reception from different satellites. Do you have an external multiswitch?
