View Full Version : Name Based Recording Question / Dvr-625
I just purchased a 625 and I have a question about the NBR function. I pretty much understand how it works but one thing crossed my mind about timer conflict resolution. Say you set a number of shows to record and set it for new shows only. At the time of the set there is no conflicts. But say during the season a show changes days or time slot and creates a conflict. What happens? Will some sort of warning appear to alert you when the unit is turned on?

That is not what I'm talking about. All the season pass does is make sure the show gets recorded if the time or day gets changed. What happens if the show changes into a slot already taken up by two other shows?
The answer to your question is no, nothing will overtly notify you if a conflict develops. You will need to monitor the events list (press dvr button twice) for skipped recordings. Basically you can scroll through the list it presents you with, and if there are skipped recordings the reason will be displayed above the list.
Or you can set priorities for the shows you want recorded. Just read that in my 625 manual.
