301 Remote Control Question

To save my marriage I am buying a second remote for my 301 on ebay. Can someone give me directions on how to program it to match the existing remote..

Some remotes will have a DISH/Echostar pre-defined setting and you just specify to use that setting #.

Other remotes have learning modes where you hold them head to head and learn the buttons.

As to program them, each remote is totally different and will require a different set of steps.

If you get a real Infrared Dishnetwork remote, it should work out of the box.

Won't you and your wife both have the ability to change the channel now??? The old way may be more preaceful.
