Thinking about switching my primary home number over to VOIP, namely through my ISP, Speakeasy. Was wondering if anyone out there has their service and 1) how do you like it, and 2) Does the phone line connection to your receiver(s) and callerID on the receiver(s) still work?

Thanks

I don't have speakeasy, I have TomatoVine (they've been great!). From what I understand with my VOIP Service from TomatoVine (www.tomatovine.com) is that you cannot have your setting on HIGH for your phone. You have to use the low bandwidth version. The reason being is that for some reason the port used in the highbandwidth cannot send or receive faxes (which I believe that is basically what the dish receiver is doing, connecting to another machine just like a fax would). Therefore, I am stuck using low bandwidth, but when you got internet like I do... low bandwidth is no problem.
