I believe it can. See other posts on this same topic on the 622 support forum...

You just see the same program as TV1 though...

What is the rest of your setup? All outputs on tv1 are active all the time. If you use HDMI then Components are open. Tv2 remote will control as long in single user mode. If you are going to be usind dual mode, tv2 remote will not control tuner 1 and will see same program as tv1.

SETUP IS SIMPLE 2 HD SETS ON VIP 622...
I KNOW THEY OUTPUTS ARE ACTIVE ON TV1 ,AND I UNDERSTAND YOU CAN WATCH ONLY ONE HD PROGRAM BECOUSE THERE IS NO HD OUTPUT TO TV2:nono2:

Don't confuse content with outputs. Only tv1 has components (and HDMI) for viewing in HD. HD programing con be viewed via other outputs but downconverted to sd. Tv2 is sd output only, HD content can be viewed through them. OTA is different - if you use dual tuner mode, OTA is not available through tuner 2 at all. But would be available while in single mode. Components can be split to more than 1 set (if you can't use the HDMI), but you could only view the same program if both sets are being used. (By the way, many view ALL CAPS as yelling, very impolite.)
